AnnLoren makes beautiful matching girl/doll outfits, and they are really nice quality. The last time AnnLoren was on Zulily, I purchased a patriotic doll outfit and a pink and brown horse outfit for my daughter. I just love all the ruffles and the cute appliques. I also purchased some Dollie and Me matching outfits, and while AnnLoren is a little more expensive, it is definitely higher quality. The seams are all very well done with no loose threads, and the velcro extends all the way down to make dressing easier for little hands. Right now, they have several holiday outfits for Halloween, Christmas, and Thanksgiving, as well as everyday styles. They also have doll carriers and bedding sets. Zulily does take a little extra time with shipping, so now is the perfect time to do your holiday shopping. Go check out AnnLoren and the other great brands available!

Hi, mini Saige here. I'm excited to show you my new house. Come on in! I have my own kitchen, bedroom, and a little attic. The kitchen is not very exciting, but I am making some yummy spaghetti for dinner. Here is my bedroom with all my favorite things. We made these paper lanterns at the art program we started at Grandma Mimi's care center. Mimi's friend Louis taught me how to make this dream catcher. See that cute squirrel outside my window? I love to play with my dollhouse and toy horses. Of course, my favorite thing to do in my room is art! Here is my latest painting of Mimi's horses. The attic is really small, but there's lots of cool stuff up here. sometimes I like to just lie up here and daydream. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll visit me again soon! Love, Saige NOTES: The house is from T.S. Shure. It is called Daisy Residence, and it came with a bunch of wooden Daisy Girls dolls with magnetic clothing. My daughter got the set for Christmas several years ago, but it is still available from T.S. Shure and Amazon, along with some other cute wooden magnet sets that would go well with the mini dolls. The doll is Mini Saige from American Girl, sold at Sam's Club with two paperback books. The art easel, palette, and sketch book all come from the Samantha Parkington paper doll book from American Girl. It is still on sale for $5 at their website, along with some other historical paper doll sets. My stepmother was not really in to dolls or frilly things, but I remember that she really liked Raggedy Ann and Andy. She had a large set she displayed in the living room, and she liked to make paintings and drawings of them. So when I saw this little Ann for 50 cents at a thrift store, I had to snag her. Sorry about the nudity, but I wanted to take a picture to show off her cute striped legs and embroidered heart detail. It represents the special candy heart that was sewed inside her in the stories. Her pinafore also makes a cute dress for the mini dolls. Ruthie is modeling it, sitting on the wooden bench I got at the same thrift store for a buck.
If you have seen the new American Girl GOTY movie, you will understand the following conversation between me and my eldest daughter. Me: What is that on the back of your brand new dress? Daughter: Smoothie. Me: How did you get smoothie on the back of your dress? Daughter: I was dancing on the table. Yah. No more American Girl movies. Or dance movies. Or new dresses. Or smoothies! I found this dress at Wal-Mart for $6.44. Don't you think it looks like Saige's meet dress? It would look cute with a woven belt or southwestern patterned ribbon.
Several years ago, my grandmother designated one doll from her collection for each of her granddaughters to inherit when she passed away. She carefully selected dolls that reflected our unique personalities and reminded her of us. Here is the doll she chose for me. I love her sweet little mouth and the rosette on her shoulder. I am so glad I have this reminder of my wonderful granny, and I'm glad I also inherited her love of dolls. I couldn't find any tags or markers to identify the date or designer for this doll. If any of you have any info about it, please share.
