Rachel is excited to show off her new Christmas nutcracker. It was an ornament, but I cut off the hanging loop and touched up the top with black permanent marker. I found my nutcracker in a set of three on sale for $3 at Rite Aid.
This little porcelain ballerina doll makes a great Clara or Sugarplum Fairy. It was only 50 cents at a yard sale, and it came with a stand. I also made a little Nutcracker book using a free printable from Doll Diaries.
Rachel is dressed for playtime in a green dress from a thrifted Heidi Ott doll, paired with a plain white pinafore and green satin ribbon. I love the Heidi Ott clothing because it is very authentic and well made with real snaps instead of Velcro.
